Shocking footage has surfaced of two men chasing a scooter rider with a pole and pushing them in front of a moving truck, and one of the men has faced court again.
William John Forrest was sentenced in Beenleigh District Court earlier this year after pleading guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm while armed in company.
Video tendered to the court, revealed the 22-year-old man chasing a man on a scooter with co-accused Cody Jake Wilson, 33.
As a scooter rider entered the dashcam footage from left of the frame, Forrest can be seen lashing out with a long wooden pole as Wilson, with another wooden pole, appears from a perpendicular footpath.
The footage depicts both men bashing the 26-year-old man with their long weapons as they chase him and force him to escape their clutches onto busy Wembley Road on January 6, 2022.
Judge Rowan Jackson sentenced Forrest to a suspended a two-year jail sentence
Wilson was immediately released on parole after serving 281 days in pre-sentence custody.
Forrest appeared again in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 23 for breaching his suspended sentence.
The court heard Forrest found employment as a carpenter and was a father of two.
He breached his suspended sentence by drug driving and the prison term was extended by a further three months by Judge Paul Smith.
