The crystal and wellness warehouse is coming to Logan Hyperdome

A new store with ‘something magical’ is coming to Logan’s Hyperdome shopping centre this weekend, with the owner saying she can’t believe her dream has finally come true.
Store owner Louise Cowley said she’s so excited about the opening of her new store ‘the crystal and wellness warehouse’.
Mrs Cowley, who lives on the Gold Coast, said her dreams of having her own shopfronts are finally coming true.
“My career for the last 20 years has been managing retail health foods stores around Brisbane. I left my job last November to follow my dreams and passion of crystals,” she said.
“I now have four crystal stores and a online shop.
“I’m dyslexic and found school very challenging and still do struggle with it. So I just can’t believe I’m now doing what I love.
“I would love for people and kids to know that you can overcome any obstacle and fulfil your dreams with determination, hard work, passion, and a positive outlook.”
The store will stock crystals, sterling silver jewellery, new age books, tarot cards, and more unique gifts.
“I’ve always been drawn to crystals for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little kid,” Ms Cowley said.
“I just think there is something magical and beautiful about them.
“Whether you believe they have magnetic energies or not I’m sure most people will agree that they’re pretty. Sometimes something pretty can make you smile and feel better, and there’s something magical about that in my opinion.”
Ms Cowley said she is currently going through resumes with the hopes of hiring some local staff for the store.
“I’m going to start with one junior and two senior local positions,” she said.
“Then if the store does well and is busy who knows.
“Hiring locally is important to me and I also try to source Australian and local made products when possible. However our crystals originate from all over the world.”
With plans to open this weekend, on Saturday morning, Ms Cowley said anyone is welcome at her new store.
“Our shop is a magical place full of lovely things that sparkle, smell nice and bring happiness and positivity to all,” she said.
“So even if you just want to come in and have a look around that would be great.
“It’s hard with Covid and I know some people need an excuse just to get out of the house. So do that. You don’t have to buy anything. Just drop by, take a look at the pretty crystals, and come say hello.”
If all goes well, Ms Cowley says she hopes to in the future have tarot readings available at the Logan Hyperdome store.
“I feel Logan Hyperdome is a great community hub that has everything to offer. It’s like city within a city,” she said.
“We also get asked many times by customers from the Gold Coast if we have stores down there so it’s a great place in the middle for everyone to visit.
“Hopefully we can bring a bit of magic to the Logan Hyperdome.”
