This isn’t his first Sushi Party either, Jon says he has owned sushi stores previously.

“I had a store in Toowoomba at Grand Central,” he said.

Jon said he decided to open his newest store in the Scenic Rim because of the limited Asian food options.

“There’s no Asian food here,” he said.

“No sushi.

“People seem to be very excited for us to open.”

Jon, who has over nine years experience as a sushi chef, has spent the past few months putting together the menu which has finally been revealed.

The menu includes party sized platters, favourites such as chicken and avocado, miso soup, and more.

Locals have taken to Facebook to express their excitement.

Scenic Rim local Roo Isabel said she can’t wait until Sushi Party opens.

“My teenage son has been asking about it for weeks. The platters look great too,” she wrote on Facebook.

Aimee Marie commented “I’m so excited for this”.

Beaudesert local Mischa Mihai said “you don’t understand how I am”.
