A pregnant Logan mother has appeared in court charged with multiple drug supply charges after being targeted by police and raided during a major drug investigation.

Skye Ashley Chorley, 28, of Flagstone, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh District Court to more than 20 charges, including eight counts of supplying dangerous drugs, four counts of stealing and one of driving with a relevant drug present.

The court heard police from the Jimboomba criminal investigations branch commenced an operation targeting drug offenders in May 2020.

They seized a number of devices from primary targets which identified Chorley as a person of interest and executed a warrant at her residence in Beaudesert on July 6, 2020.

Police seized her phone and found a number of messages about the supply of dangerous drugs.

The court heard the messages show she offered to facilitate the supply of 1.7 grams of methamphetamine, and another shows an act preparing to supply 1.75 grams of methamphetamine, another for 0.1 grams of methamphetamine and one for the facilitation of 0.4 grams of methamphetamine.

She also offered to supply a quarter ounce of cannabis to one person and another also showed an act of preparing to supply a quarter ounce of cannabis.

During the search, police also found 3.8 grams of cannabis, a water pipe, digital scales, a grinder and an Indian national passport that did not belong to her.

The court heard police had also found text messages on a man’s phone that revealed conversations where Chorley offered to supply him cannabis on two occasions, April 27, 2020, and June 16, 2020.

Chorley’s lawyer said his client had been using meth “quite heavily” during the period the supply charges occurred.

“Her supply of the drug was very much tied up with her sourcing the drugs for her own use because of her dependence,” he said.

He said Chorley had two children and was expecting to give birth to another in four weeks.

He said Chorley had managed to put a stop to her meth use and had a steady job working at Coles in Jimboomba.

Chorley was sentenced to 18 months’ probation and disqualified from driving for nine months.
