A former Logan panel beater allegedly held his partner captive for four weeks and choked her, a court has heard.
Raymond Allen Stolz, 43, faced Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday October 3.
The panel beater who now resides in Noosa Heads, was charged with choking, two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and four counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
Prosecution allege Mr Stolz choked his partner at his Loganholme home on December 14, last year.
Speaking as a witness to the court, the alleged victim said she was not allowed to leave the house for four weeks and was beaten and assaulted.
Mr Stolz’s defence lawyer Robert Butler said there were no evidence of choking marks on the woman’s neck according to the treating doctor.
He also said the alleged victim had previously given false information to police in 2016, which resulted in a District Court matter being stood down.
Mr Butler cross examined the witness and revealed she initially told police her complaint about Mr Stolz was false.
The woman eventually pursued her complaint and stands by the accusations of being held captive and choked.
The court heard Mr Stolz was a father to young children and worked as a panel beater.
Mr Stolz’s charges were committed to the District Court and he was denied bail by Magistrate Patrina Clohessy.
