QUEENSLAND Rail reckons its services are a cut above the rest — but it doesn’t encourage the behaviour shown by one commuter.
The rail authority has shared CCTV footage of a commuter pushing a lawnmower onto a train at Bethania station.
In the vision, the man can be seen neatly folding the mower up and taking it on board but is soon sent packing by a train guard.
A spokesman for the Queensland Rail said not only are lawnmowers prohibited on commuter trains, but they can also be dangerous because they can leak combustible fluids.
The post from Queensland Rail prompted other commuters to name and shame some other interesting objects sighted on trains in the state.
“Wheelbarrow full of soil with vegies seedlings growing in it … apparently for a TAFE assignment, ”one woman wrote.
Inflatable dolls, whipper snippers, fridges, washing machines and mattresses also made the list.

It is not the first time Queensland Rail has had to warn commuters about train etiquette.
In July last year, a man was fined $252 for taking a large fridge on a train at Bowen Hills.
