A bizarre dispute between Logan neighbours ended in an offensive naked act and the flasher was also found drunk driving by police.
Nathan Allan Klemm, 44, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 17 to wilful exposure, drunk driving, two counts of evasion and public nuisance.
The court heard that on May 6 last year Klemm pulled down his pants and exposed himself to a neighbour he was having a dispute with.
Klemm’s Browns Plains neighbour was loud and had guests frequenting the house at all hours of the night, according to Klemm.
This caused an argument over time which culminated in him exposing himself in anger during a drunken moment of frustration.
The court heard Klemm also failed to stop twice for police on September 7 and was drunk driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.206 per cent.
Klemm’s defence lawyer said he spiralled out of control and was heavily intoxicated during the time of the evasion offences.
Magistrate Gary Finger said evasion laws were brought in to tackle people fleeing from officers.
“This law was brought in for people like you who take off from police,” he said.
“You were four times the legal limit and evaded police twice in one day.
“You had no regard for police, why shouldn’t you go into custody right now”?
Klemm was sentenced to 18 months probation and no conviction was recorded.
His driving licence was disqualified for five years and three months and he was fined $17,300, referred to SPER.
