Police are investigating after a Logan mother confronted a man performing a gross sexual act front of her children at a park.

A horrified mother conronted a man she says was performing a gross act in Logan public park.

Police are investigating after a Logan mother confronted a man performing a gross sexual act front of her children at a park on Monday.

The mother, who wished to remain anonymous, said she took her children to Apex Park at Marsden about 4pm on June 10.

“We stopped at the park on our bike ride to play on the playground — my kids are 4 and 6 years old,” she said.

“A man was strolling through the park while we were enjoying the swings.

“He waved and I politely waved back. He then proceeded to sit down on the park seat with his back facing the children but strangely continued to observe us.’’

The mother said she became wary of the man’s behaviour but continued to play with her children.

Fifteen minutes later her little boy asked to play hide and seek and as the mother hid behind a tree she saw the man pull down his trousers and begin to masturbate.

“I could see the man and what he was doing, he was inappropriately touching himself,” the mother said.

A mother has spoken out about a man she says performed a gross act in a Logan park.

“I grabbed my kids and instructed them to go to the opposite end of the park.

“Upon approaching the man, I noticed there was faeces on the ground in front of him and he continued to masturbate.

“I strongly voiced my opinion that what he was doing was sickening and he must stop immediately.’’

The man allegedly continued to touch himself while looking at the woman and smiling, she said.

“I told him I was calling the police and then pulled out my phone and took a photo,” she said.

The mother posted about the incident on social media, prompting some locals to say they had seen a man in the area lingering around the playground and near a primary school.

The mother said she also saw the same man outside Marsden State School the next morning.

She reported the incident to Marsden Police Station. Police confirmed they were investigating.
