DAVE Wilson is a man who loves his burgers.

The 30-year-old loves them so much he decided to camp outside a new Carl’s Jr store in Logan.

The US burger giant will open its 500th store in Eagleby tomorrow morning and is offering one year’s worth of free burgers to the first 50 people through the door.

“I definitely love burgers,” the Coles meat manager said.

“I’ve had one at every Queensland restaurant they’ve got. They’re decent size and they taste really nice.”

Mr Wilson could win a year’s supply of these burgers.

Not wanting to take any chances, Mr Wilson got there at 8am this morning.

“I wasn’t sure if it was going to be busy or not and I had the time off so I though why not?” he said.

His wife has helped beef-up his campaign for the cheesy competition, bringing supplies when needed.

“I don’t have anything but my chair. The missus is bringing me food here and there,” he said.

The Eagleby store is the fourth to open in Queensland.

The $850,000 new store will employ 100 people and won’t be the only one of its kind in Logan.

Eagleby’s opening ceremony and ribbon cutting will start at 8am tomorrow at 17 River Hills Rd, Eagleby.
