US burger giant Carl’s Jr will open its 500th store in Eagleby this weekend and is offering one year’s worth of free burgers to the first 50 people through the door.
Hungry fans of the burger joint queued for hours, and some overnight, last month when another store opened in West Ipswich.
The Eagleby store is the fourth to open in Queensland.
The $850,000 new store will employ 100 people and won’t be the only one of its kind in Logan.
In January, a second Carl’s Jr is expected to open on Kingston Rd in Slacks Creek.
It’s part of a nationwide rollout of the store with 300 Carl’s Jr restaurants planned to be built over the next 10-15 years.
Eagleby’s opening ceremony and ribbon cutting will start at 8am with doors opening to the public at 8.30am.
The store is located at 17 River Hills Rd, Eagleby.
