Loved ones mourn ‘hero’ mum lost in horror Logan crash

Streams of mourners have converged at the scene of a horrific traffic crash which claimed the life of a “beautiful” young mum who was “adored” by her little boy.

A young boy has been left without his mother after a horror traffic crash in Logan Friday.

Sharlina Surdo, of Holland Park, died despite the best efforts of paramedics when her red Kia hatchback crashed on Cable Camp Rd.

According to police Ms Surdo, 29, was driving on the Logan Village road around 11.15am when it veered off the road and hit a concrete drain and overturned.

Paramedics performed CPR on the young mum for more than an hour but she died on the roadside.

Streams of mourners have converged on the crash site to lay flowers, leave messages and light candles while “destroyed” loved ones have paid tribute to Ms Surdo, who had worked as a Tupperware consultant.

“A beautiful life taken way too soon,” said Heather Tait.

“You were a one of a kind with a heart of gold and an amazing mum.

“My condolences to your beautiful son and family.”

Jae Toby described Ms Surdo as “beautiful”.

“Woke up this morning hoping it wasn’t true.

“You are so love (sic) darling taken way too soon.

“I’ll cherish our laughter and memories forever.”

Tiara Wall said Ms Surdo was “adored” by her young son Riley.

“She was his hero, his best friend,” added Ms Tait.

Niece Rychelle McCabe said her family was “destroyed” by the gut wrenching loss.
