Woman dies on notorious rural road
A notorious rural road has claimed its third life in seven years after a Brisbane woman died when her car ran off a road south of Brisbane this morning.

A state road, notorious for crashes and where two others have died in the past seven years, claimed another life today.
A 29-year-old woman died after the car she was driving hit a concrete drain and overturned in on Cable Camp Rd at Logan Village, about 40 minutes south of Brisbane, just after 11am.
Paramedics used CPR on the Holland Park woman for more than an hour but she died on the roadside.
The road was sectioned off and the woman’s car, a red Kia hatch, was towed away while police contacted next of kin, who do not live in the area.
Police said the car was travelling westbound on Camp Cable Road when it was reported to have veered off to the side, hitting a concrete drain and overturning.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and police said an autopsy, including blood alcohol readings, would be conducted.
Camp Cable Rd was earmarked for massive upgrades after a 73-year-old Logan Village man died on the road at the intersection of the Mt Lindesay Highway in 2015.
Anyone with dashcam footage who was driving along Cable Creek Road between 11.10am and 11.20am is urged to contact police.
