The name of a motorcycle rider who died in a horror crash south of Brisbane yesterday has been revealed, as police share more information about what happened.

The name of a motorcycle rider who died in a horror crash in Logan yesterday has been revealed as the city reels over its second bike death in less than a month.
Mt Warren Park man Kurt Grant, 33, died yesterday morning when he was involved in a serious crash with another vehicle on the Pacific Motorway at Shailer Park.
The crash happened near the Nujooloo Road overpass about 5:45am.
Police have confirmed the 33-year-old was filtering through traffic on his motorcycle, travelling about 100 km/h in the northbound lanes of the M1 when he collided with the back of another car.
It is understood Mr Grant had been on his way to work when the crash occurred.
In the wake of the tragedy, Mr Grant’s best friend Rob opened up about how his sudden passing had ‘shattered his world’ in an emotional tribute on Facebook.
“Lost one of the most amazing people in my life today,” he wrote.
“RIP Kurt Grant you’ll always be loved and never forgotten.
“I love you so much man and I honestly can’t imagine how I’m going to do this without you next to me laughing and encouraging me to be the spastic I am.
“I’m going to miss you so much from our random chats about the world to our camping and adventure trips.
“Rest in paradise. I hope they have bikes up for you.
“I’ll always remember you and I’ll always love what we had you were my best friend my partner in crime the one crazy person who was always up for anything life going to seem so quiet and glum without you here and I honestly don’t know how to handle it.
“I’ll always love you my bro and hopefully we meet in the next life.
“Coming from a completely broken and shocked person this has shattered my entire world.”
Police said the impact was so significant Mr Grant’s helmet came off.
According to police, traffic was moving about 60 km/h at the time of the crash.
Police allege he had entered the slip lane to the right before colliding with another car and being thrown over a concrete barrier and into oncoming traffic in the southbound lanes.
Police say his helmet was found about 100 metres away from the crash scene.
Police said Mr Grant did not appear to have been breaking the speed limit however suggested “he wasn’t driving to the conditions”.
Police are waiting on test results to determine whether Mr Grant had any drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of the crash.
Police investigations are ongoing.
The fatality follows the death of a dirt bike rider in another serious motorcycle crash in Logan on March 5, 2022.
Raymond Mogg, 31, died after his dirt bike collided with a stationary vehicle at the intersection of River Hills Rd and Bishop St, Eagleby.
The tragedy came exactly a month after Woodridge man Dylan Brennan, 27,
died when a car motorcycle collided on Fedrick St, Boronia Heights on February 5.
