Motorcyclist thrown into path of oncoming traffic in horror fatal crash at Shailer Park
A man has died after serious crash involving his motorcycle and another vehicle in which he was thrown from the northbound lanes onto the southbound carriageway of the Pacific Motorway south of Brisbane. All southbound lanes remain closed.

A man has died following a serious crash involving his motorcycle and another vehicle that is still causing significant delays for motorists on the Pacific Motorway at Shailer Park.
The crash occurred near the Nujooloo Road overpass about 5:45am, with initial investigations suggesting the 33-year-old man from Mount Warren Park was filtering through traffic on his motorcycle in the northbound lanes of the M1 when he collided with a car.
The impact caused him to be thrown from his bike into the southbound lanes of the M1.
AVOID the location if you can. Very significant traffic delays. Southbound lanes remain closed, diverting off at exit 28. Northbound also very, very heavily congested.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash was finally cleared at 11.15am, with southbound lanes reopening.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash and are appealing for witnesses especially those with dashcam of the crash or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
