A Logan mum previously jailed by the Supreme Court for drug trafficking, has faced court again for possession of cocaine, cannabis and multiple bongs.

A Logan mum previously jailed by the Supreme Court for drug trafficking, has faced court again for possession of cocaine, cannabis and multiple bongs.

Kirsten Lisa Skelton, 33, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 24 to possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug utensils and possession of schedule three dangerous drugs.

The court heard that on July 26, 2022, police conducted a search at Skelton’s Woodridge property and found 3.4g of cocaine, 5g of cannabis and a large quantity of Suboxone strips.

The Woodridge mother was also found with morphine and two glass bongs.

Skelton was jailed for three years in 2019 by the Brisbane Supreme Court for drug trafficking, where she served an actual custodial term of six months.

The court heard that since being granted bail July, Skelton had not committed any more offences.

Magistrate Patrina Clohessy acknowledged the previous prison term and Skelton’s good behaviour within the last year.

“I understand you were previously sentenced in the supreme court,” she said.

“You have however not offended since being granted bail in July, 2022.

“For this reason I will suspend your term of imprisonment but it will hang over your head as a deterrent.”

Skelton was sentenced to six months prison, wholly suspended for 12 months.
