A Logan aged care worker’s drunk car crash into a parked car has seen her face court and face a hefty fine.

Kirilea Anne Robinson, 29, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on June 13 to driving while over the middle alcohol limit but not over the high alcohol limit.

The court heard that on August 6, 2023 at Carl Heck Blvd in Windaroo, police attended a car crash along with ambulance and fire emergency services.

Police found Ms Robinson had been driving a Hyundai Accent and had crashed into a parked Volkswagen about 8pm that day, the court heard.

Officers did a blood-alcohol test and Ms Robinson returned a reading of 1.37, the court was told.

It also heard Ms Robinson suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and caused $26,000 worth of damage to both cars.

Defence Lawyer Hugh Stitt said Ms Robinson worked in aged care and formerly as a hairdresser and in disability care.

“It was good luck rather than good management that nobody was hurt,” he said.

“She is $26,000 out of pocket as a result of the crash.”

Magistrate Ron Kilner said Ms Robinson did not have a very good traffic history.

“I take into account what’s been said on your behalf but the incident that occurred was solely your fault,” he said.

“You should not have been behind the wheel at all and as someone who works in the health industry you should know better.”

Ms Robinson was fined $1000 and her driver’s licence was disqualified for eight months.
