A Scenic Rim family famous for their Redlands pie cafe business will finally be opening an outlet in the region, after searching for the perfect spot for seven years.

The Gislers founded Gisler Pies in 1976, when they opened their first cafe in Cleveland in the Redlands.

Since then the family has branched out and now runs various other outlets including; Gislers Roadside Pie Cafe, The Nook, and gSPOT Espresso.

Gisler Pies is run by Ian Gisler, his son Jon Gisler, and Jon’s wife Jamey Gisler.

Jon and Jamey Gisler live in Allenview in the Scenic Rim and have been working hard for the past seven years to bring a new business to the region.

Mrs Gisler said she is so excited about their next business venture.

“We live out this way and have been waiting with a lot of people pleading for us to become local with business as we have been sponsoring and supporting local football clubs with our pies and pie drives over the past few years,” she said.

“We have just excitedly taken over a production facility at 1 enterprise drive Beaudesert.

“We have been waiting on something to come up out here and with patience it has. We have just taken over a factory we received keys this week.

“A lot of work needs to go into the facility before we will be operational, approximately in the next eight weeks we will be hoping to be up and running.”

While locals wait the eight weeks for the business to open, they will be treated to visits from the Gisler’s grab and go style coffee shop gSPOT Espresso.

“Eight years ago we built a shipping container and decked it out as a grab and go style coffee shop which we will be delivering to the site this week,” Mrs Gisler said.

“We will be operating from 3am each morning next week.
