Police seek public help to find man who exposed himself in Logan

Police say an elderly woman escaped from a man, who exposed himself and threatened her after an intervention from a passerby, yesterday morning at a Logan parkland.

Police are seeking the public’s help to track down a young man, they say exposed himself to an elderly woman, before threating her in parklands south of Brisbane yesterday.

Investigators from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for public assistance in relation to a wilful exposure incident in Logan Central on January 15.

Around 6.30am a 76-year-old woman was walking through parklands on Civic Avenue when she was approached by an unknown man.

The man proceeded to expose himself and threatened the woman, who ran away and fell over.

She sustained minor injuries due to the fall.

A passer-by intervened and the man fled on foot towards Karri Avenue.

Police said the man is described as dark skinned, short afro hair, no facial hair and was wearing a white shirt and black shorts.

He is believed to be aged between teens to early twenties.

Anyone who may have witnessed anything in the moments leading up to, during or after the incident is urged to contact police.
