An expecting mum has faced court for her “bizarre behaviour” after smashing a building window and threatening to kill bystanders in a drunken tirade south of Brisbane.

Holmview resident, Christine Lee Sadler, 36, pleaded guilty in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday to charges, including obstructing a police officer, committing a public nuisance act and wilful damage.

Ms Sadler, who is three-months pregnant, was arrested in Bethania on October 8 last year after police received reports of disruptive behaviour, the court heard.

The court also heard the mum was seen intoxicated yelling at bystanders, threatening to kill them along the streets of Bethania when police arrested her.

Less than a month later on November 3, the mother-of-four was seen smashing a glass window in Bethania, causing severe damage to a property.

Then on November 11, Ms Sadler was caught in possession of 4.3g of cannabis in a Loganlea home.

On another occasion on January 15 this year, Ms Sadler obstructed police preventing them for entering a Bethania home, where she had allowed a person to reside unlawfully, the court heard.

“The accused obstructed police, and refused entry for police to come into the house,” police prosecutor, Tim Wise, said.

Ms Sadler was then charged with failing to appear in court on two dates in January.

“Your behaviour has been described as bizarre,” Magistrate Terry Duroux said.

“You were not compliant with police, and it was clear that you were under the influence of alcohol.”

Ms Sadler’s lawyer said her client was suffering from mental health issues, including post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), anxiety and depression.

“She has had a short period where things were going really badly and she has told me she’s trying to move forward,” the defendant’s lawyer said.

She was convicted, fined $650 restitution in response to the wilful damage and ordered to completed 40 hours of unpaid community service work.
