A Logan man faces jail for allegedly sharing explicit videos and conversations with five teenage prostitutes and having sex with two of them, a court has heard.

Gregory Joshua McMullen, 45, faced Beenleigh District Court on Friday, September 1 charged with a range of sex offences.

The charges included three counts of attempting to obtain prostitution from a person who is not an adult and two counts of obtaining prostitution from a person who is not an adult, distributing child exploitation material and images and indecent treatment.

The court heard the Fraser Coast man allegedly started chatting to teen girls on a website called sugardaddymeet.com in June, 2019.

He went by the alias of King Daddy and was alleged to have met a 16-year-old girl whom he paid for sex. He also took videos and photos of her, it was alleged.

She told him she was only 16, which he said enjoyed and expressed sexual gratification, the prosecution alleged.

McMullen was then alleged to have shared the videos and images with other users on the website.

The court heard McMullen was alleged to have chatted to three other girls on the website aged 15, 16 and 17, and to have had sex with the 16-year-old on Boxing Day on the Gold Coast last year.

On that occasion he was alleged to have taken photos and videos and shared them online.

McMullen was also alleged to have used social media app Snapchat to send images of his penis and asked to have sex with the 16-year-old for $400.

He told her “age is just a number” and offered to buy her a new mobile phone and other items, the court heard.

One offence alleged by prosecution was that McMullen engaged in conversations with a friend online about abducting and raping children.

Other messages alleged to have been discovered by police contained disturbing conversations about nappies and a preference for young girls.

If convicted, McMullen faced three years in prison with a requirement to serve actual custody.

Judge Craig Chowdhury adjourned the matter to November 10 in Beenleigh District Court.
