A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash south of Brisbane, where emergency services worked for almost an hour to free the trapped driver.

A man has been trapped inside his car before being transported to hospital with serious injuries after his vehicle smashed into a tree south of Brisbane.
Paramedics and fire crews arrived at the scene at Chambers Flat Rd, Chambers Flat around 9am where emergency services worked for 40 minutes to free the man, who is in his 40s, from the car using hydraulic cutting gear.
The High Acuity Response Unit treated the man for significant leg injuries before transporting him to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said QPS Chambers Flat Rd prior to King’s Way is closed investigations continue.
