A Logan woman has faced court after making confronting threats to another woman, in which she told her to “sleep with one f---ing eye open” and a poor decision on the way to a house inspection.

Marsden resident, Emily Nicole Marie Blanckensee, 30, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday, March 22, to contravening a police protection notice, failing to appear in court and driving without a licence after it was disqualified by a court order.

The court heard Blanckensee had been threatening a woman.

“She said things like sleep with one f---ing eye open,” police prosecutor Tim Wise said.

“You won’t see it coming, doesn’t matter if your eyes are open or not.

“Burn in hell.”

Blanckensee was also caught driving unlicensed in July, just two months after she was disqualified from driving for two years.

Her lawyer, Greg Lutvey, said her client had been driving to a house inspection when she was caught driving while disqualified.

“She was trying to do the right thing by her family and get to a house viewing so as to not leave her family homeless,” Mr Lutvey said.

He said Blanckensee had been dealing with drug issues at the time.

“She tells me she is now clean from drugs,” he said.

“She has spent a lot of time in and out of custody.”

Magistrate Pamela Dowse said if Blanckensee offends again she will risk going to jail.

“If you don’t (comply) it’s the guillotine,” Ms Dowse said.

“There will be a bed for you out at the women’s prison.

“All I can say to you is that you are looking to serve a lot longer, you just like it there.

“You haven’t been there once, you’ve been there a lot of times.

“I tried to show you how bad it is.

“But you come out and not much later you’re doing the same thing.”

Blanckensee was convicted and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment with immediate parole release.

For the contravention of police protection notice she was convicted and sentenced to one month.

She was disqualified from driving for two years.

Convictions were recorded.
