Brisbane teenager Fletcher Charles Hosking has been identified as the man allegedly responsible for attempting to murder a young woman by deliberately crashing his car in Logan last year.

Police will allege the 18-year-old West End man intentionally crashed the car he was driving just after 10pm on December 8 last year along Prebble St in Rochedale.

The incident allegedly left him injured and his 18-year-old passenger, Haley Richardson, in hospital for months.

Mr Hosking was charged with a count of attempted murder on Tuesday, March 14 following “extensive investigations”.

According to court documents, he faced court that same day and again on Wednesday, March 15, when he was granted bail on his own undertaking.

He agreed to a number of bail conditions, including that he live at a new address in Chandler, adhere to a curfew, and abstain from contacting his alleged victim. He did not enter a plea.
