A Kingston man has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and has been told he will “very likely be going to jail” when he is sentenced.
Daniel Robert McAuliffe, 50, pleaded guilty to knowingly being in possession of child exploitation material on April 5, 2022 and breaching the conditions of his parole by failing to report to Beenleigh District Court.
But his sentencing has been adjourned until he received surgery for an collar bone.
“He came off his bicycle, which has caused his collar bone to protrude,” his barrister said.
“He will very likely be going to jail and before requires surgery to fix the protruding.
“He has been convicted on his own plea of guilty.’’
The police prosecutor submitted no objections to bail.
Judge Craig Chowdhury adjourned McAuliffe’s sentencing until April 15.
