A Logan Comanchero bikie has faced court on charges of extortion, grievous bodily harm, wilful damage and two counts of common assault.

Paea Langioutu Talakai, 32, from Underwood, applied for a variation to his bail in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 7.

The offences were allegedly committed on December 12 last year in Slacks Creek.

Talakai’s lawyer Danielle Heable applied to vary her client’s bail conditions to remove the existing curfew.

Ms Heable also told the court there was a surety of $5000 and she was waiting on a completed brief of evidence.

“I don’t imagine it’s consequential, but it is best to have it finalised,” she said.

The court heard the material would include medical records of the alleged victim.

Magistrate Terry Duroux granted the bail variation after no objections by prosecution.

Talakai’s matters will next be mentioned in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 26.
