A Logan father who shared naked photos of a woman, stalked her relentlessly and made derogatory, threatening comments, has faced court.

Cameron Douglas Lemon, 34, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh District Court on Monday, September 11 to two counts of unlawful stalking and one count of distributing intimate images.

The court heard that between March 2 and June 12, last year the Regents Park father of two contacted a woman 54 times and sent her abusive messages.

Lemon made derogatory sexual comments and threatened to hire a private investigator to locate her.

He also obtained a photo of her naked with an identifiable tattoo and sent it to her boyfriend, telling him he should “know what his girlfriend is up to”.

Lemon also sent intimidatory emails to the victim and said she better get a good lawyer.

The court heard the communications in general were “derogatory, crude and intimidatory” in nature.

In a victim impact statement tendered to the court, the woman said she felt fearful of leaving her house and the threats had a profound, negative impact.

The court heard Lemon worked for an airconditioning company and was taking care of his father, who recently suffered a stroke.

He had not served any pre-sentence custody for the offending and prosecution argued an actual term of imprisonment was justified.

Judge Terry Gardiner weighed up an actual custodial order or an immediate release on parole when handing down his findings.

He acknowledged Lemon made a mistake but that did not justify his behaviour.

“It doesn’t excuse your conduct and if you think you can thumb your nose at the court, you have got another thing coming,” said Judge Gardiner.

Lemon was sentenced to two years prison and released immediately on parole.
