A source close to the family of the BMX and motorcross racer killed in a car crash south of Brisbane this week has shared beautiful details of his life.

The source, who asked not to be named, revealed touching details of Cohn’s dedication to his family — in particular his nieces and nephews.

They said he would be remembered fondly for having “a heart of gold” and for being devoted to his family, following his death in a horrific crash at New Beith Wednesday night.

According to the loved one, Cohn, 22, was a real ‘family man’.

“No words can describe what a wonderful uncle and son he was,” they said.

“He had a heart gold.

“His smile would light up the room.

“He will be greatly missed by many, that’s for sure.

“It’s a small family but he was the best uncle and would do anything for the kids.

“(He was a) jokester and life of the party.”

According to the source, Cohn was just as dedicated to BMX as he was to his family.

“His parents were his number one fans,” they said.

“He dedicated his time (to BMX) since he was four years old.”

“I’m still struggling to believe it but Cohn Evans you will never be forgotten mate.

“I remember putting you on you first motorbike and running after you for hours every day.

“I remember endless days and nights in the shed building bikes and motors.

“Watching you grow up was an adventure that’s for sure.

“You will be missed mate.”
