A Logan teen has been charged with more than 10 hooning offences for an alleged wild and dangerous spree, a court has heard.

A Logan teen has been charged with more than 10 hooning offences for an alleged wild and dangerous spree, a court has heard.

Astin James Barton, 19, faced Beenleigh Magistrates Court on June 1.

The Crestmead teen was charged with eight counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle and one count of unlawful photographing, filming or publishing for racing, burn out or other hooning offence.

Mr Barton was also charged with three counts of participating in group activities for racing, burn out or other hooning offence.

Police alleged the offences occurred in Crestmead between January 22 and April 20 this year.

Defence lawyer Jason Voight told the court they were serious charges and the matter needed to be adjourned.

“The matter needs to be adjourned for case conferencing and to get his traffic and criminal history,” he said.

“It will invariably involve case conferencing, these are serious charges.”

Magistrate Patrina Clohessy adjourned the matter to July 15 in Beenleigh Magistrates Court for mention.

“There are a large number of charges,” Ms Clohessy said.

“His bail is enlarged and the matter is adjourned to July 15.”

No plea has been entered.
