After having his dreams of playing professional AFL crushed as a youth, a Logan traffic controller has now faced court for assaulting a woman in a pub.

Waterford West resident, Aaron Leonard Holland, 24, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, March 22, to one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The court heard Holland was at a club in Waterford West on March 20 last year when he assaulted a woman.

“There was physical violence involved,” police prosecutor Rhiannon Dhillon said.

“He was told to stop as a result of a number of concussions he suffered.

“He’s been employed as a traffic controller and last year was granted a supervisor role.”
