A new state-of-the-art $14 million PCYC venue, which will become a focal hub for sports in southeast Queensland.

It has been revealed the $14 million Cronulla Park PCYC venue, which will have the largest gymnasium in southeast Queensland, will be opening to the public on November 8.

The expansive 4,700 square metre modern single-level facility was jointly funded by Logan City Council and the Queensland Government

It will feature a huge range of sports and recreation activities, a 24/7 Gym and Fitness Centre, outside school hours care, youth and indigenous programs, gymnastics, and much more.

PCYC Logan has confirmed the November 8 opening is just the initial soft launch, and there will be an official opening in late November or early December.

PCYC Queensland chief executive officer Phil Schultz previously said Logan PCYC would be relocated from its existing home in Logan Central.

Logan City Mayor Darren Power said the state government handed the site to Logan City Council and worked with the PCYC to design the building.

The gymnastics hall has the capacity for up to 70 people and will be the largest in the city.

More than 42 full time jobs will also be supported through the opening of the new sports hub.

The new PCYC facility will feature the largest gymnastics hall in Logan City and southeast Queensland, a 24/7 gym and fitness centre, a functional training zone, a ninja climbing frame, a training program for those under five years old, a boxing ring, a range of youth programs, outside school hours care, and a multipurpose space for activities and programs.

The gym will also have available group fitness classes going for 45 minutes and running throughout the week.

The new facility is at Cronulla Park on the corner of Compton and Kingston Road, Slacks Creek.

There is also a $12.95 weekly membership rate only available to new Gym+Fitness members at PCYC Logan, Cronulla Park, who sign up before the new Gym+Fitness Centre opens on November 8.
