A young Ipswich woman has copped a hefty fine in court and lost her licence for nine months after she was busted by police more than three times the legal limit, vomiting shortly after the officers performed the breath test.
Bellbird Park woman Denika Renay Muston, 25, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday to the single charge of driving under the influence of liquor.

The court heard police were patrolling at Alamein St, Beenleigh at 1.15am on Saturday, October 17 when they intercepted a white Mazda 3.
When questioned by police, Muston admitted to having consumed alcohol that night and “believed she may be over the limit”.
Officers observed she was “unsteady on her feet and had slurred speech”, but if they needed any more evidence it came in the form of Muston vomiting shortly after the test was administered.
The test duly revealed she had a blood-alcohol content of 0.162 per cent, the court heard.
Muston told the court that she realised that night she had been “hanging around the wrong people” and she had since let her registration lapse and replaced her car with an electrical bicycle, which she rides 30 kilometres to the McDonald’s she works at.
“I’m trying to make better choices,” she told Magistrate Michael O’Driscoll.
“That night was rock bottom.”
In addition to the nine months disqualification, Muston was fined $1200.
The conviction was recorded against her traffic record.
