A 31-year-old woman was stopped at a red light, a male youth described as having curly black hair, dark skin and aged approximately 14, opened the driver’s door and shouted for the victim to get out of the vehicle.
The young male then assaulted the woman, “kicking her in the legs and torso before physically dragging her from the vehicle onto the roadway,” Snr Sgt Crone said.
“The offender also attempted to steal the victim’s mobile phone, before entering the vehicle with another person, believed to be a young caucasian female aged approximately 14 years old, and driving away,” he said.
“The victim’s motor vehicle was a short time later discovered abandoned at Mortimer Rd, Acacia Ridge shortly after midnight.
“The victim sustained minor injuries including cuts, abrasions and bruising as a result of the assault.
“Detectives from the South Brisbane District CPIU (Child Protection Investigation Unit) are investigating.
