A “terrible” Scenic Rim drug addict was allegedly found in possession of a huge stash of methylamphetamine (ice) and dodgy cash four days after she was granted bail on serious charges which included possession of drugs and weapons including knuckledusters and nunchucks.

Beaudesert woman Chloe Anne Weier, 22, was arrested on August 14, just days after her release on bail on August 10 in Beenleigh Magistrates Court, but her bail application was delayed until today.

Her current charges include allegedly possessing 17g of ice, possessing other dangerous and restricted drugs, possessing a quantity of cash police allege is the proceeds of crime, and breaching bail conditions, seven charges in total.

It’s understood these charges stem from a search warrant on the bail address at Jason Day Dr she shared with her partner, who the court heard is also addicted to ice.

“The address was not conducive to rehabilitation,” defence counsel Philippa Zande conceded to the court.

Ms Weier’s previous charges from August 10 included possessing more than 2g of a white powder substance, possessing two weapons, and contravening a police direction to provide passcodes to devices suspected of containing incriminating information.

Ms Weier is yet to provide the passcodes, the court heard, leading Magistrate Louise Shephard to conclude she was “not co-operating” with police investigations.

Ms Zande described her client as “thoroughly addicted” to ice and said she was desperately trying to book herself a bed at a rehabilitation centre, but an offer could not be made until it was confirmed she had bail.

Despite initial misgivings, Magistrate Shephard granted Ms Weier, who she described as having a “terrible meth addiction”, bail on incredibly strict conditions.

They include that she live with her mother in Beaudesert, report daily to Beaudesert Police Station, and submit to fortnightly drug testing at her own cost.

Today’s charges have been adjourned to October 28 in Beaudesert Magistrates Court to link up with her other charges from August 10, which were also adjourned to that date.
