Woman charged after allegedly slashing man with samurai sword
A man is in hospital and a woman will face court after she allegedly slashed the man with a samurai sword when he threw a brick at her during a fight in Sydney’s west.

A woman has been charged after allegedly striking a man with a samurai sword in Sydney’s west.
The 29-year-old had been inside a unit on Charles St at Liverpool with a man, 23, when she left the property about 11.30pm.
Police say the man followed her outside a short time later and a fight broke out between the pair with the man allegedly throwing a brick at the woman.

When she pulled out a samurai sword he ran from the area and stopped at a block of units to speak with a person he knew.
It’s alleged the woman caught up with the man and swung the sword at his head, striking his forearm as he raised his right arm to protect himself.
The woman then walked away as her alleged victim ran to the Hume Highway and flagged down a passing ambulance.
He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition and received treatment to a deep cut on his arm.
A crime scene was established at the scene and the woman was arrested in a nearby unit. She’s been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and refused bail to appear in court today.
