A missing motorcyclist found by police after an overnight search in Victoria’s west has been flown to hospital in a serious condition, 15 hours after crashing his bike.

The 30-year-old Delahey man was riding with a friend along Colac-Lavers Hill Road when the pair got separated at about 7.40pm on Boxing Day.

The man’s friend raised the alarm when he failed to turn up at their meeting point at the Colac-Lavers Hill Rd and Beech Forest-Lavers Hill Rd intersection in Ferguson — 15km from where he was last seen.

Local police, the Air Wing and SES searched throughout Saturday night and Sunday morning for the missing rider.

The man was discovered by police at 10.30am on Sunday, having crashed his bike down an embankment on the Colac-Lavers Hill Rd.
