Former One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson will be a special guest at the Australian Open on Saturday.

Tomlinson will be courtside with his band as guests of Piper-Heidsieck and Tennis Australia.

Tomlinson is touring solo and has a show at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Sunday. He last toured Australia alongside his former bandmates One Direction in 2014, a year before the band broke up.

One Direction members, Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, were mobbed by so many fans they were barely able to leave their hotels while on the road.

Other guests at the women’s final on Saturday night include swimming star and Young Australian of the Year Emma McKeon, Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh, swimming legend Ian Thorpe, singer and actor Natalie Bassingthwaighte, plus tennis legends Evonne Goolagong Cawley, Margaret Court, Judy Dalton, Wendy Turnbull, Neale Fraser and Ken Rosewall.

Emirates is hosting actor and former partner of Hugh Jackman, Deborra-Lee Furness, who will be with promoter Paul Dainty.

There was a whisper NFL legend Tom Brady might show up courtside on men’s semi-finals day but instead it was a feast of local names who gathered at the Australian Open on Friday.

Singer Kate Ceberano was a guest in the VIP O section alongside tennis greats Rod Laver, Margaret Court and Wendy Turnbull.
