A muck-up prank involving Catholic school girls dressing as Ronald McDonald and taking over their local Macca’s outlet on muck-up day has gone viral.

The event involved up to 100 girls dressed in identical outfits swarming the fast food restaurant as staff watched on in amusement as they sung and danced in celebration of the end of their school days.

Some of the girls even went behind the counter and posed for photos. In the clips some staff can be seen chatting amicably to the students, while others look overwhelmed as they realise they have no hope of serving so many customers at once. While some people commenting online questioned the impact on staff, the girls posting the clips insisted that “they loved us”.

In fact, the girls were considered so well mannered that the store manager has even invited them back to help out at McHappy Day in November.

One McDonald’s worker said: “As an employee of McDonald’s, I guarantee they talked about y’all for the next like hour afterward, and you likely made their day”.

The girls were praised online for being respectful and not destructive.

The first clip attracted 37 million views, and the others around 6 million.

Despite a move from most schools to turn muck-up days into more respectful celebration days, students still managed to have fun and run amok.

At Melbourne Girls’ College, students turned the staff room into a disco and partied.

At Epping Secondary College, teachers were doused in shaving cream and the campus was decorated with toilet paper streamers.
