FudgeVille is tapping into the craze around the exclusive, TikTok famous ‘Dubai chocolate’ with their own fudge flavour and chocolate replication of the luxury Middle East treat.

Dubai Chocolate is an expensive, rare dessert only made by Dubai-based FIX Dessert Chocolatier, and its popularity is so extreme TikTok videos of it get over one million views, it sells out rapidly at any local bakeries skilled enough to replicate the unique dessert, and one Sydney bakery is even selling Dubai chocolate flavoured hot cross buns.

FudgeVille’s new owner and baker Anj Bogle said she was inspired to replicate the multi-layered chocolate sweet when it started trending on social media again this year.

“I come from the UK and it was a big deal over there two years ago,” Ms Bogle said.

“Then it took off again six months ago and I thought, I can make this.”

Ms Bogle said she’s ordered all the original ingredients direct from the Middle East, and has already started replicating the unique taste in a new fudge flavour ($8 a piece) and will have actual true-to-recipe chocolate available very soon, made in store.

“We will have the chocolate by next week,” she said.

“We make everything by hand here in-store, and I have the pistachio, tahini, knafeh and Belgian Chocolate.”

Ms Bogle described Dubai Chocolate as being a very rich treat with cream from the pistachio and crunch from the knafeh.

This comes after The Candy Wrapper in Pimlico imported their own shipment of ‘Dubaco Pistachio Chocolate’ bars to feed local demand for the rare dessert, and Levanti on Palmer St introduced a Dubai Chocolate torte to their fine dining menu.
