Police respond to single vehicle crashes at Bohle Plains and Roseneath
Police are searching for a occupants of a stolen car that was abandoned after crashing in Townsville on Tuesday morning. But it wasn’t the only head-turning incident.

Townsville’s emergency services have responded to two separate single vehicle crashes on Tuesday morning, both of which where the occupants had fled the scene by the time they arrived.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the first incident involved a stolen Hyundai Tucson.
The vehicle’s occupants fled the scene after it crashed at the intersection of Hervey Range Road and the Bruce Highway/ Ring Rd at Bohle Plains at about 3.30am.
“The vehicle had been stolen from Sandplover Circuit, Bohle Plains around 3am this morning,” the spokeswoman said.
“The investigation is ongoing. No one has been arrested at this time.”
Not long after, a member of the public came across a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Southwood Rd and Stuart Dr, Roseneath at 5.10am.
“The driver had self-extracted and left the scene. Multiple police crews attended and located the driver nearby, uninjured,” she said.
“The vehicle was not stolen. Police are investigating.”
The incidents come just two days after another driver fled the scene of a stolen vehicle crash on Fulham Rd, Gulliver.
Anyone with any information or has dashcam from either incident was asked to contact police.
