A driver has fled the scene of a fiery traffic accident in Townsville.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed that they had responded to reports of a vehicle striking at least three parked vehicles on Fulham Road near the intersection with Swanson Street in Gulliver at 2.45pm.
A QAS spokeswoman said at least one of the vehicles was on fire.
The driver and any potential occupants are understood to have left the scene.
Queensland Police Service confirmed a driver had left the scene.
It is unclear if the accident involves a stolen vehicle.
Two Queensland Fire Department crews are on scene.
QFD have been contacted for comment.
A witness said it appeared the vehicle had hit the side of one of the vehicles, causing considerable damage.
The force of the impact had shunted the vehicles together.
