A 41-year-old woman has died in hospital after she sustained serious injuries in a shocking alleged domestic violence-related attack in Townsville over the weekend.

A 41-year-old woman has died in hospital after she sustained serious injuries in a shocking alleged domestic violence-related attack in Townsville over the weekend.
The woman was transported to hospital around 2pm on Saturday, October 19.
She was declared deceased at Townsville University Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, October 22.
A 42-year-old Vincent man has been charged with grievous bodily harm (domestic violence) by detectives from Townsville’s Criminal Investigation Branch.
The man appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday, October 21.
Police are continuing to provide support to the family of the victim, who have requested privacy at this time.
Witnesses, or anyone with information or relevant footage, are urged to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
