NQ welcomes new breakfast radio host Adam Davison for new ‘Get Up with Adam and Donny’ show
A Townsville-based radio show has recruited a fresh face to join the team, as they get ready to take to airwaves this week with a revamped show. Meet the new broadcaster.
Morning drives in Townsville will sound a little different for those who tune in to Star 106.3 as they welcome a new host to the region.
Adam Davison from Launceston’s Chilli FM will be joining Donny Watkin in the revitalised ‘Get Up with Adam and Donny’ breakfast radio show.
The show which is based in Townsville will officially launch December 2.
“Continuing our big stunts, getting out of the studio and into the community is still a massive priority for us,” the pair said.
“When something happens in Townsville, we want to be in it, probably having a laugh about it, but not just talking about it.”
The show prides itself in being based in Townsville and broadcasting to the people of Townsville.
“We want everyone who listens to feel like it’s their show. We’re just two blokes behind the steering wheel, hanging on and having fun with you. We don’t want to be the usual ‘I saw this last night, what do ya reckon?’ kind of breakfast radio, we want to give Townsville something bigger, something local, something that actually feels like it belongs to them,” they said.
The pair are already prepping for their first event this Sunday when they host the pre-show at Carols by Candlelight.
