Where to get your Covid-19 booster in Toowoomba

UPDATED: As Covid deaths surge across the region and so few availabilities for booster shots at pharmacies in the next few days, here’s a list of where and when you can get your shots.

As the region experiences a spike in Covid deaths, residents have been urged to stay up to date with vaccinations.

A Darling Downs Health spokeswoman said the region’s hospitals are seeing an increase in demand, with cases expected to peak in August.

Residents have been asked to remain vigilant and help protect the community.

“There are likely to be ongoing waves of new variants and we are recommending that eligible people consider a fourth dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, as it prevents severe illness and hospital admission,” the spokeswoman said.

“This is also why we’re recommending that people continue to follow the public health advice of wash your hands, social distance where you can, and stay home if you’re sick.”

The Chronicle has compiled a list of businesses offering the fourth booster shot for eligible residents, and the date of their next available appointments.

Some businesses only offer certain vaccinations, with Moderna and Pfizer recommended by officials.
