Toowoomba’s cutest toddler 2024: Meet the winners from The Chronicle’s poll
In a competition of cuteness, toddlers around Toowoomba have put on their cheekiest smiles, reminding us all of the wonder, excitement, joy and many feelings the first few years of life bring.

The first few years of life are a magical wonder of exploring feelings and emotions, learning the many ways to communicate, and finding out how everything works – or doesn’t.
Despite whatever mischief toddlers get up to, the sunshine their smiles and laughter bring make up for it all.
Almost 150 toddlers were nominated across the Toowoomba region to find the cutest of them all, as voted by our subscribers.
Meet the top five here:
Alaia McGrady
“Sweet, sassy, and adorable” is how mum Emily Downton describes her two-year and 10 month-old toddler.
Alaia McGrady took first place with 20 per cent of votes.
Ms Downton said she was “overwhelmed” when she heard she had the cutest toddler.
“She loves singing and dancing, and she’s a bit of everything as she has four big brothers,” she said.
She loves singing Let It Go from Frozen, and is very talkative.
Amiyah Cubby
In a tie between two other adorable toddlers, Amiyah came in second with 9 per cent of votes.
The “just turned four” year-old loves to sing Barbie Girl, is very sassy and had a big heart, said mum Neata Dahlstorm.
“Her favourite thing to do is sing and dance – shaking her booty,” she said.
Obsessed with Moana, Elsa, and Barbie she also showed no fear in taking to karaoke at the Balonne Shire Christmas Carols, her mum said.
Paisley Jean
Just two months shy of becoming a big two-year-old, Paisley Jean loves singing “wise men say” from Elvis’ hit song Can’t Help Falling In Love.
Her mum Amy Jacobsen describes her as “very caring, kind and crazy at times.”
Dancing and singing is her favourite thing to do, she said.
Paisley tied with Amiyah and Archie for second place with 9 per cent of the votes.
Archie
Archie has a “very quirky personality to those who know him,” mum Nikohl Kendall said.
She described him as “a sunflower shining bring being happy and smiling.
The two-year-old loves Bluey, playing with his older brother, dancing to wagon wheels and going out in the caravan.
He is often heard saying “yea, I did it,” and “don’t know”.
Archie tied with Paisley and Amiyah for second place with 9 per cent of the votes.
Noah
Making it into the top five with 8 per cent of votes, this 18-month-old is a “bouncing bundle of energy,” said mum Chyna Fisher.
“He’s very snuggly and empathetic and loving towards his family,” she said.
Watching cars, Toy Story, playing with his dad and the family’s dogs, and mowing the lawn with his mum are just a few of the things he loves to do, Ms Fisher said.
“Mummy, daddy, shoes and lightning” are a few of his most common words.
