A woman accused of being involved in the murder of a young Toowoomba man will have to wait another week for her case to progress.
Goondiwindi woman Tina Kathleen Hazard, 37, appeared in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Tuesday for a committal hearing on her charges of murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. No plea has been entered yet to the charges.
Ms Hazard is accused of the murder of 25-year-old Thor Morgan who was allegedly shot while driving through Toowoomba in the early hours of March 15, 2022.
Mr Morgan managed to make his way to his partner’s home in Harlaxton where he was taken to hospital with a bullet lodged in his brain.
He died in hospital two months later.
Ms Hazard is charged alongside co-accused Lachlan Mark Freund, whose case was committed to the Supreme Court earlier this year.
On Friday, Ms Hazard’s hearing was prematurely adjourned midway through cross-examination when one witness failed to show.
Magistrate Kyna Morice ruled the hearing be adjourned to December 20, 2024 for the witness to be produced.
Ms Hazard will remain in custody awaiting her next court date.
