Police are expected to charge six boys with a range of offences from unlawful use of a motor vehicle to dangerous driving after they were arrested in the early hours of Monday morning.

Toowoomba Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said the boys were observed in a stolen Subaru Forester in the area, and police successfully deployed a tyre deflation trap near the intersection of North Street and Hume Street, North Toowoomba.

“Police will allege the six teens ran from the vehicle and were located in the adjacent area,” he said.

The boys were aged between 13 and 16.

Police will allege they were in a 2019 Subaru Forester that was stolen from a Skyline Drive address on April 22 as a result of a break and enter, between 3-5am.

The boys will be put before the Toowoomba Childrens Court in the coming days.
