It’s been a life-changing 12 months for Foodie Shots owner Kat Lynn since she won her very first AusMumpreneur Award last year.
Now, the business owner and trailblazer is up for another nomination which she credits to her outstanding team.
Ms Lynn was the Creative Arts gold award winner in 2020 and this year is up for the Creative Entrepreneur Award this year.
She said awards and nominations were often an understated element of running a business.
“A lot of businesses don’t understand how important that is,” she said.
“It’s telling people that you’re willing to be put out there and be judged, and from a public perspective they get an idea that you must be okay.
“You get over that hurdle of trust.”
Ms Lynn said in the year since her first win, Foodie Shots had soared to new heights.
The business was trademarked, they’ve hired more contractors and been able to outsource for a portion of their work.
As an experienced entrepreneur and family woman, Ms Lynn said when it came to owning your own business, the people who surrounded you played a more important role than what you thought.
“Networking is vital,” she said.
“That would have to be one of the key aspect to what I have done.
“You know the people you can draw on.
“You’re not so lost in that abyss of things you need to know to launch a business.”
Ms Lynn is among an incredible list of business women who have been named as AusMumpreneur Award finalists.
