Toowoomba’s shopping centres have been packed with shoppers avoiding the drizzly rain but things should be brighter on Sunday.

Wondering when this light, drizzly rain will end?

Well, the Bureau of Meteorology advises us to “be patient” and hopefully we’ll have clearer skies on Sunday.

Meteorologist Helen Reid said the light rainfall across Toowoomba and surrounds was expected to last for the rest of Saturday as the remains of ex-tropical cyclone Seth peters out across the Darling Downs.

“The conditions are expected to remain that way for the rest of the day (Saturday) and you might even get some stormy weather,” she said.

“I couldn’t say that there won’t be more rain tomorrow and there’s an outside chance of some nuisance falls, but we’re expecting this to be the last of ex-tropical cyclone Seth as far south as Toowoomba today.”

The high cloud cover was keeping temperatures a couple of degrees below average, she said.

After an expected maximum of 25 degrees today, Toowoomba should enjoy a pleasant minimum of 19 and maximum of 28 on Sunday.

“Just enjoy the conditions and be patient,” Ms Reid suggested.
