Darling Downs best homes named at Master Builders Awards

It is a tough year for Toowoomba’s construction sector but that did stop the celebration on Friday evening when the 2022 Master Builders Awards were announced.

Toowoomba’s top builders enjoyed their moment in the spotlights as the 2022 Downs and Western Housing and Construction Awards were announced on Friday.

Valdal Projects stole the show, racking up a total of nine awards, including the coveted House of the Year for the breathtaking home, Cliffhanger.

Northbuild Construction were onto a winner when they renovated the Rowes building in Toowoomba, taking out the Project of the Year Award.

Paul Spence Constructions were the other big winner on the night, with their Wirra Wirra House project winning the President’s Award and Home Renovation/Remodelling Project from $650,000 up to $1 million.

Master Builders’ Downs & Western Regional Manager, Linda Rosengreen, congratulated all the winners across the 43 categories.

“From modern retail spaces, educational amenities and training facilities to stunning renovations and state-of-the-art home builds, this year’s entries were inspirational,” she said.
