After a man was allegedly set on fire in Harristown in September, the trio accused of the attack are still waiting for their matters to progress through court.

On Friday, the Toowoomba Magistrates Court was told that outstanding evidence documents were holding up the case against Yves William David Greenhill, who has been charged with allegedly setting Jordan Moore alight in a Harristown pub in September.

Mr Greenhill’s two co-accused, Codie Leigh Bird and Courtney Lee Ramsey, are also awaiting progress in their matters.

The three were charged in relation to the alleged Harristown assault which took place on September 13, 2023.

Mr Greenhill has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife, obstruction of a police officer and two counts of wilful damage. Ms Bird has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery, and others while Ms Ramsey has also been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

None of the accused have yet been called on to enter a plea to their respective charges.

The alleged victim, 26-year-old father-of-four, Jordan Moore, was allegedly doused in petrol and set alight, suffering severe burns due to the alleged incident.

Police prosecutor Natalie Bugden told the court that the documents the prosecution was waiting for were a statement from the alleged victim’s treating burns unit doctor and DNA test results.

The prosecution told the court that the doctor’s statement was expected in six months, while the DNA test results were not expected for 12 months.

Magistrate Louise Shephard issued a direction that the statement from the doctor be disclosed to the defence by the end of January, while the defence was content to proceed without the DNA test results.

The matter will be mentioned in court again on February 16, with Mr Greenhill remanded in custody. Both Ms Bird and Ms Ramsey are also remanded in custody.
